Why exactly is Tiny Tim touring with the “30 Years of Rock ‘n’ Roll” show? The castratoesque troubadour’s repertoire contains nothing as recent as 1965. Mull over such contradictions with a face full of hot sauce at the National Capital Barbecue Battle. The event will be fought with forks and hickory logs—winners will divvy $10,000 in prizes. There will also be a historical soundtrack provided by the curious lineup of, among others, the Beau Brummels, the Classics IV, and Badfinger. The grilling is from 12:30-11 p.m. today and from 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Washington Harbour Park, K & Wisconsin Ave. NW. $5 (benefits the Metropolitan Police Department Boys & Girls Club).
