Among the varieties of Bristol “trip-hop” are the doleful (Portishead) and the merely languid (Massive Attack). With Big Village and Squonk Opera at 9:30 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. (202) 667-7960. $6. (MJ)
