With tourists shoulder-to-shoulder on the Mall, the moment is right for the 12th Annual Dupont-Kalorama Museum Walk. Not that the 10 sponsoring galleries won’t do everything in their power to ensure that they’ll be just as crowded as the big guys. Besides their usual exhibits, there’ll be live Latino music (at Fonda del Sol Visual Arts Center), a jazz concert (Mary McLeod Bethune Council House), refreshments (the Meridian International Center), and hands-on weaving, rug restoration, and sheep-shearing demonstrations (Textile Museum), among other attractions. And of course, the two-dozen small galleries you’ll pass on the way to the various Museum Walk sponsors won’t object if you drop in on them as well. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday; self-guided tour brochures available at participating museums. FREE. (202) 939-5568. (Bob Mondello)
