After about 45 minutes of Jennifer Herrema’s croaking and digging her hand down the front of her hip-huggers, Royal Trux’s 1993 9:30 Club show became the first I ever walked out on (leaving after taking tickets for Starship in ’85 doesn’t count). Since then, though, Trux has tightened up, gone major, and released Thank You, apparently a gesture of gratitude to fans who stuck with them as they accumulated the hard living needed to authenticate their pomo boogie blues. Motocaster and Branch Manager open at 10 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $7. (202) 667-7960. (Glenn Dixon)
