Most reggae dub producers never leave the studio, but that’s not true of London’s Mad Professor. On this tour with Macka B., General Brown, and Noland Irie, the man known to his family as Neil Frasier can be found behind the mixing board, cleverly manipulating his crew’s vocal and instrumental sounds. Offering both traditional roots riddims and state-of-the-art dancehall, the Prof and his U.K.-based cohorts should offer up enough melody and booming bass to satisfy all sectors of the reggae audience. Blackilocks opens at 9 p.m. at the Roxy, 1214 18th St. NW. $12. (202) 296-9292. (Steve Kiviat)
