Dr. Michael Ackerman has cut the body of a dead 39-year-old male into 1,800 millimeter-thick horizontal slices. While the Ginsu endorsement offers must be pouring in, Ackerman actually performed this ghastly task in the interest of science: The pieces are being digitally photographed and loaded onto the Internet for public viewing (address: http:www.nlm.nih.gov). The Visible Man project (soon to be followed, we’re told, by a Visible Woman project), should serve as worthwhile online material for the inquisitive and twisted alike. Ackerman discusses “Naked Man Online” today at noon at Montgomery College’s Humanities Building, Room 118, 51 Mannakee St., Rockville. FREE. (301) 251-7952. (Steve Kuhn)
