Northern Virginia-based Eclipse is probably the only band working the local metal scene that sings in Spanish. Lead guitarist and songwriter Carlos Romero says Anglo fans have never shown an aversion toward his outfit’s Latino-centrism, and he’s got a theory about why. “At our club shows, it usually takes until the third or fourth song before they even realize we’re singing in Spanish,” Romero laughs.
