CONGRATULATIONS TO Pedro Ponce of “Generation X-asperated” (The District Line, 3/10) for getting his name in the paper, even if his major accomplishment was being too square for the Washington Post Magazine. Let’s face it, Pedro—most people would find it pretty boring to read an article about résumé-building, power-tie-wearing, beer-swilling yuppies. However, if you want to keep your name on everyone’s lips, you can send five bucks to Captain 20’s Birthday Club and get your name read on television!

As an acquaintance of the “Mount Pleasant gang” who stole the limelight from Pedro and the pencil-pushing all-stars, I ask: How miserable do you think a woman who makes Cat in the Hat hats for a living can possibly be?
