According to the Metro section of the March 4 Post, Fairfax County police picked up a rape/abduction suspect at the Franconia Metro station. The arrest was made “without incident,” yet this is hardly routine police work: There is no Franconia Metro station. Perhaps it was the Franconia/Springfield station at which the suspect was, according to the Post, “waiting for a train.” If so, the cops needn’t have hurried. There are no trains due at that station until 1997.
