Another of the man/woman, guitar/drums bands apparently common in the Pacific Northwest, Kicking Giant can do more than sound stark and edgy; the duo’s Alien i.D. isn’t exactly production pop, but its Spectorian move is genuinely tuneful and rousing. Opening are New York’s Sleepyhead, which makes amiably disheveled pop-rock, and D.C.’s Delta 72, which may someday get over the embarrassment of having been featured in a “Youth Today” feature in the Washington Post Magazine.
