A longtime collaborator with video pioneer Nam June Paik, Shigeko Kubota (pictured) has made videos about the everyday—Video Girls and Video Songs for the Navajo Sky is a “diary” of women Kubota has met, while Soho Soap/Rain Damage examines the harm done to her loft by a flood—and her artistic inspirations: In addition to the previously mentioned shorts, this program includes Marcel Duchamp and John Cage and George Maciunas With Two Eyes 1972, George Maciunas With One Eye 1976, a homage to the Fluxus founder.
