He has the first platinum comedy album in a decade, You Might Be a Redneck If…, which is no mean feat considering that the form had nearly died. In fact, the lanky, genial Jeff Foxworthy is being credited with resurrecting the genre. Foxworthy’s redneck shtick undoubtedly benefits from having a Bubba in the White House, gaining a certain gravitas-by-association. But, like Clinton, the Atlanta-born comic is more complex than simple goober jokes might imply. Most of his show concerns the broader topics of men, women, and family.
