It is probably safe to say that American Civil Liberties Union President Nadine Strossen is not Catherine MacKinnon or Andrea Dworkin’s favorite person. Strossen’s Defending Pornography: Free Speech, Sex, and the Fight for Women’s Rights counters “MacDworkinite” claims that pornography victimizes women; the author offers solid arguments against censorship and anti- pornography laws, and asserts the importance of the First Amendment to the women’s rights movement.
