Many are the “coincidences” surrounding the life and death of Abraham Lincoln. The latest: A man named Jim Getty from Gettysburg, Pa., will be re-enacting the Gettysburg Address. The actor/educator/fake Abe has won a “Pennsylvania Travel Excellence Award” for his impersonations, though you only have to travel to the Library of Congress to hear those few words that never fail to stir the spirit. Mr. “Getty” will answer Lincoln-related questions, one of which should be, “What’s a travel excellence award, anyway?” From noon-2 p.m. at the Library of Congress, Madison Building, Madison Memorial Hall, 1st & Independence Ave. SE. FREE. (202) 707-1940. (DN)
