One of the few old-school speed metal bands that hasn’t either struck it rich (Metallica) or broken up (Exodus), Overkill remains in club-tour limbo on the power of consistently mediocre albums. But while recent recordings won’t turn any heads, the New Jersey quintet’s frenetic live shows should manage to keep ’em banging.
