Forget the melting pot. Adams Morgan Day is culture on the buffet plan. Under the banner “unity and diversity,” the 18th Street festivalwill dish out a head-spinning, stomach-churning, all-day array of Afropop and hiphop, mariachi and Swiss jazz, Bolivian pupusas alongside Ben & Jerry’s. Three stages for music and dance, more than 100 food vendors, and not enough parking—it’s a metaphor for our time. From noon to 8 p.m. on 18th Street between Columbia Rd. & Florida Ave. NW. FREE. (202) 332-3292. (Patrick Symmes)
