Performance artist James Godwin attributes his affinity for “masks, protective outerwear, and tools that enable us to explore other realities” to a childhood fascination with Jacques Cousteau. Godwin and three other choreographers and performance artists, Frank Conversano, Sanghi Wagner, and Peggy Pettitt, will explore some of those other realities in a program of experimental dance and performances curated by New York’s P.S. 122. Tonight and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m. at Dance Place, 3225 8th St. NE. $12. (202) 833-9800. (David Plotz)
