When our family dog plays fetch, she doesn’t exactly bring the thrown object back—she just taunts us with it, gnaws on it awhile, then takes some time to catch her breath. She might pick up some, uh, pointers by attending the Friskies Canine Frisbee Championships. There, 14 of her obedient and considerably more athletic peers will be judged on showmanship, leaping agility, degree of difficulty, and execution as they compete in the World Finals. From 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on the west side of the Washington Monument. FREE. (800) 786-9240. (Nathalie op de Beeck)
