New York’s Klezmatics are hipster regulars at the Knitting Factory, but they perform the oft-snubbed klezmer without camp. Instead, they uphold the music’s tradition of soaking up influences (in this case, they’re avant-jazz, -rock, and new-music) and cultural references: Their Shvaygn Toyt (“Silence Equals Death”) uses the ACT UP slogan as a metaphor for the threatened extinction of klezmer. At 8 p.m. at the Barns of Wolf Trap, 1624 Trap Rd., Vienna. $12. (703) 938-2404. (AW)
