Back of the Big House III: A Three-Part Lesson on American Slavery and Freedom is the latest presentation from multidisciplinary performance group Muse de Noire/360. “Three part” refers to the show’s elements: Actors from the Rep Theater Company will read slave letters and other historic documents to the accompaniment of the Duke Ellington Show Choir and early photographs of slave life. The program starts with a tour of the Corcoran’s “I Remember” exhibit on the civil rights movement, and concludes with a discussion with local scholars of slavery. At 1 p.m. at the Corcoran Gallery’s Hammer Auditorium, 17th & New York Ave. NW. $20. (202) 722-4499. (Patrick Symmes)
