DISAOINTINGLY, IN HIS article on the Georgetown power plant (“Power Failure,” 10/15), David Plotz missed the character of the Westy McDermid that we who live in this community know so well.
The plant is only one of her constituents’ concerns. To each one she dedicates herself equally. The number of votes she drew in the last election in a city where diffidence is the rule was truly remarkable. There really is no one quite like her.
