Fleshing out the sound of everyone from House of Freaks to Gutterball to various contributors to the recent Gram Parsons tribute seems to have reawakened the somnolent Silos; the countrified Virginia (via Gainesville and Manhattan) band is leaving its major-label trauma behind and taking its down-home post-punk back to the circuit that originally sustained it. With Yellowcake at 9:30 p.m. at the 9:30 Club, 930 F St. NW. $9. (202) 393-0930. (MJ)
