Unlike his famous forebears, Wilkinson Wright never logged a mile in the cockpit; instead, he opted for a ground-based career as a contract specialist for the Monsanto Corp. From his great uncle Orville, however, family historian Wilkinson got a first-hand account of those heady pioneer days in aviation on the sand dunes at Kitty Hawk and Huffman’s cow pasture outside Dayton, Ohio. As keynote speaker for the Wright Brothers 90th Anniversary program, Wright shares his memories a few partitions away from where the original 1903 Kitty Hawk flier is permanently displayed. At 8 p.m. at the National Air & Space Museum’s Langley Theater, 6th & Independence Ave. SW. FREE. (202) 357-3030. (Greg Kitsock)
