Ranging from pomp-rock to lite funk, Branch Manager needs four songs to suggest the breadth of its eclecticism. The saunteringly funky one is the almost instrumental “Girlfriend Seminar,” while the power ballad “Floored & to the Left,” though a little rough-edged for the genre, wouldn’t sound that out-of-place on AOR radio. Filling out each side is a shorter, faster, more agressive song: “Midget” and “Sharp” are more in the Bad-Brainsy funk-punk-speed-metal mode. The platter is $3 postpaid (checks made out to Patrick Foster) from Sweet Portable You, 1937 Kennedy Dr., T-2, McLean, VA 22102.
