Even if the field of jazz vocalists was not cluttered with facile approximations of Ella and Sarah, Madeline Eastman‘s willingness to take artistic risks would still be worthy of notice. Eastman’s latest, Art Attack, which features notable collaborations by drummer Tony Williams and the Turtle Island String Quartet, is a case in point. She appears in these parts about as often as Major League Baseball, so catching her show is well advised. At 8 & 10 p.m. at Blues Alley, 1073 Rear Wisconsin Ave. NW. $16. (202) 337-4141.
