“Oh the Catholics hate the Protestants,” sang satirist Tom Lehrer, “and the Protestants hate the Catholics/The Hindus hate the Muslims, and ev’rybody hates the Jews.” Lehrer will not be included in tonight’s performance of “Great Music of Seven Religious Traditions,” which have historically gotten together only to persecute each other or share taxicabs. On the program are an Islamic caller to prayer, a quartet of Jewish cantors, a Hindu dancer, a Sikh musician, and Mormon, Roman Catholic, and Methodist choirs. At 8 p.m. at the Washington National Cathedral, Wisconsin & Massachusetts Aves. NW. $12. (202) 537-6247. (Bill Gifford)
