LISA GRAY’S LEAD IN her latest story on Rosa Lee Cunningham (“Family Affair,” The District Line, 11/11)—“Happy families are all alike. Dysfunctional families interest me more”—was uncomfortably similar to Leo Tolstoy’s observation that “All happy families resemble one another; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
