As if there weren’t enough reasons not to jog, residents of the Rockies and the Golden State should now consider the possibility of being hunted down and killed by a mountain lion, as was a California woman earlier this year. As more and more people set up house in what was once mountain lion territory, lion/jogger conflicts will only multiply, to the ultimate detriment of both. Idaho State biologist John Laundre will discuss “The Mountain Lion’s Share: Will There Be Room in the 21st Century?” in today’s slide-illustrated lecture at 6 p.m. at Museum of Natural History’s Baird Auditorium, 10th & Constitution Ave. NW. $12.
