Bryan Ferry‘s vocals on his latest, Mamouna, retain the same suave mannerisms heard on his ’70s solo and Roxy Music efforts. But even the presence of old bandmates Brian Eno, Andy MacKay, and Phil Manzanera isn’t quite enough to turn this Robin Trower co-produced collection of average Ferry-penned background melancholia into something dynamic.
