I ENJOYED YOUR FASCInating piece on blues singer and guitarist Skip James (“Skip James’ Hard Time Killing Floor Blues,” 11/25), but I have a question:

Your story says James checked into D.C. General Hospital for treatment of his cancer and then wrote a song about his experience, “Washington D.C. Hospital Blues.” I have versions of the song on both the Skip James/Today! and Skip James—Live albums, and in both it’s identified as “Washington D.C. Hospital Center Blues” (my italics). D.C. General isn’t the only local hospital that treats indigents, and I’m wondering if it wasn’t the Washington Hospital Center where poor Skip recovered.
