Though not presented with quite the same self-promotional flair as Liz Phair’s debut, Come‘s first album was also a byproduct of Exile on Main Street; the powerful and even elegant new Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, however, shows the Boston quartet making something of its own from the Stones’ charismatically broken-down blues-rock. Come plays with Mule, a bristling Michigan trio whose recent If I Don’t Six is blues for Jesus Lizard fans, and local guitar orchestra Tone, which also has a new CD due. At 8:30 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $7. (202) 667-7960. (MJ)
