RE: YOUR COMMENT ON “cranky old editors” (“City Desk,” 12/2) and Richard Cohen’s column. Cohen may not be the most felicitous stylist around, but his reference to DOS (Disk Operating System) meant exactly what he meant it to mean: Pataki is programmed by Al D’Amato. Pataki is the passive disk, D’Amato operates it. Geddit?
