The National Backyard Wildlife Center of Rockville, Md., has an Xmas gift for the truly strange: a 5-foot-11-inch wooden statue of Ross Perot that doubles as a bird feeder. Just one of the center’s “Woodendipities” created by artist Robert DuLong, Perot is displayed among “three favorite backyard animals”—the Texas longhorn, elephant, and donkey—common pets all. A life-size St. Francis and a Jim Dandy farmer, further examples of DuLong’s “wild and whimsical way with wood and paint,” are also on display.
