Why fight the crowds to see the Cramps or the Reverend Horton Heat when you can experience home-grown rockabilly? Hailing from rustic Falls Church, Jumpin’ Jupiter is a four-piece hillbilly hootenanny complete with stand-up bass, twangy guitar, and sideburns. The band’s originals more than surpass minimum rockabilly standards, and the guitar leads range from Scotty Moore-ish riffs to jams straight out of ’60s beach-movie soundtracks. With Billy Hancock and Flea Bops at 8:30 p.m. at Tornado Alley, 11319 Elkin St., Wheaton. $5. (301) 929-0795. (Ben Buja)
