The 12-inch dance record has survived the death of vinyl, but what about the 7-inch dance single? That’s what DarkAngeles (née local video-music producer Arlin Goodwin) has created with “StereoPornoGroove,” a neo-disco track with the standard complement of electrobeats and breathy samples; though not exactly pornographic, the Princely song (title courtesy of Tipper Gore) does feature orgasmic sighs of the sort commonly heard on mid-’70s dance floors. The starker, jazzier, name-dropping B-side, “Ed’s Place,” sounds a bit more contemporary, but “Stereo” is more fun. It’s available from Ultra Schang Records, 714 6th St. NE, Washington, DC 20002.
