Apparently Dave Nuttycombe has a problem with Oliver Stone making movies about the recent past (Film Listings, 12/15).
“Dick’s gone, Morrison’s gone, the war is over.” Really?
Take a close look at current political discourse. Dick lives.
The war is over? Tell that to the troops on their way to Bosnia. He who forgets the past is doomed to repeat it.
If you don’t have any Doors albums, I suggest you get a few and listen to them.
People like Nixon, Morrison, John Kennedy, and Ho Chi Minh are not gone just because they are dead.
