As a citizen of “The Free State” (pronounced “the fleeced state”), I simply wish to thank City Paper columnist Eric Friedman for exposing how a loser in business like Art Modell, can make a killing on a deal with a loser in government like Parris Glendening if the second loser is dealing with other peoples’, the taxpayers’ and real losers’, money (“A Losing Proposition,” 1/19). Would the last Marylander out of the Democratic Party please turn out the lights?
