There will be something for all tastes at the multicultural, multiethnic “24th Annual Folklore Society of Greater Washington Mini-Fest.” Celtic, bluegrass, blues, C&W/honky-tonk, singer-songwriter, and other folk styles will be represented in various afternoon performances. There will also be a children’s program, jam sessions, and dancing to swing, klezmer, Cajun, and Balkan bands. The evening concert features the rockin’ Irish/bluegrass/jug-band/blues stew of Big Blow & the Bushwackers, stringed instrument virtuoso Robin Bullock, singer-songwriter Kristina Olsen, and Slavic string quartet Sÿ.arenica From noon-6 p.m. (afternoon program), 7:30-10:30 p.m. (evening concert).
