FRIDAY
Now that the local indie kids in Tuscadero have signed to a major label, they can afford to move out of Mount Pleasant—the neighborhood immortalized on a track from the band’s Teenbeat debut, The Pink Album—not that they’d want to. The group is not one to forsake the hometown crowd, especially when most of its fans live within walking distance of the El Caminos and unappealing stink the Tusc’ers sing about. Tonight’s show is their first as full-fledged rock stars, and chances are they’ll play the neighborhood anthem. With the Norman Mayer Group and Jet Lag at 10:15 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $5. (202) 667-7960. CP
