Was he just too hip for late night? Moving his wise-assed talk show from MTV to the Arsenio spot proved short-lived for short stand-up Jon Stewart. The Jon Stewart Show did have more raw, youthful energy than one expected—or wanted—at that hour. And he never wore a tie like that nice boy, Conan. So now we get repeats of Entertainment Tonight. But weep not for the diminutive jester, for he’s moved to the big screen, acting with the likes of Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn. What more could a nice Jewish boy want?
