“You want fame?” Debbi Allen would ask every week in the opener to the arts-school drama, pounding her walking stick into the floor. “Well, fame costs. And right here is where you start paying. And sweat!” With similar verve, Dr. Sherry Berryman-Miller daily whips students into shape at Howard University, the only historically black college to have a degree program in dance. At 7:30 p.m. at Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium, 6th & Fairmont Sts. NW. $15. (202) 806-7176. (Holly Bass)
