An Hour With Vitapup, which is the title of the New York trio’s new album, is an eventful one: The band offers punk, hiphop, space-rock, jazz, and a cappella protest songs, both full-blown and fragmentary. Such eclecticism can be wearying, but every time this gets too precious there’s another song that sounds like Fugazi. With scrappy grrrl group Cold, Cold Hearts and Meltdown at 9 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $5. (202) 667-7960. (MJ)
