When he is called before the tribunal of good taste, Paul Anka will have a lot to answer for. A purveyor of schmaltz from adolescence onward, Anka penned the Oedipal ballad “Diana” (“I’m so young and you’re so old/This my darling I’ve been told”) when he was only 14. Anka grew older, but his music remained remarkably pubescent in tone, as witnessed by the frankly narcissistic “My Way” and the slavering prurience of “Having My Baby.” Anka will be backed by the red-faced National Symphony Orchestra at 8:15 p.m. at Wolf Trap Filene Center, 1624 Trap Rd., Vienna. $16-28.
