The Baltimore Mansion Theater isn’t exactly either. It’s a former funeral parlor aging into suitably graceful Addams Family disrepair. But it is home to filmmaker/scenemaker Skizz Cyzyk, who programs madcap movies in the mortuary’s viewing room—where a casket remains on display. The Washington Psychotronic Film Society is bringing Mr. Skizz to town for some of his Charm City cinematic attitude. Among the promised treasures is Shank (pictured), a Shaft parody, with a soundtrack by Blisterfreak Circus, featuring “lotsa wah-pedal riffs,” Revisiting New Crew, a mockumentary about a white rap group, and Take a Trip With Jeff, about a song-and-dance guy named Jeff, which even Skizz can’t quite describe. The potential highlight of the evening may be X=X, a biopic about serial killer Henry Lee Lucas told via the expressive medium of sock puppets. I smell Oscar! At 8 p.m. at Las Cruces, 1524 U St. NW. $2. (202) 736-1732. (Dave Nuttycombe)
