While many salsa artists largely appeal to an over-25 crowd, La India reaches both younger and older demographics. This young Puerto Rican vocalist, who once sang dance-club pop as a member of Latin teen faves TKA and has released underground disco singles under her own alias, has also crooned MOR ballads that appeal to sappy song-lovers of all ages, plus upbeat salsa and Latin jazz with such veterans as Eddie Palmieri and Tito Puente. While she’ll probably stress her sugary slow songs, here’s hoping she’ll also include her tougher clave- and horn-supported repertoire. At 9 p.m. at the 930 Club, 815 V St. NW. $20. (202) 393-0930.
