I enjoyed Randall
Bloomquist’s proper skewering of Diane Rehm (“Too Much of the Goodness Thing,” 8/2). As the editor and publisher of Behind the Barricades: A Quarterly Journal of Politics and Opinion, I have been subjected on more than one occasion to Rehm’s abusive misuse of WAMU’s (NPR’s) supposed public airwaves by being cut off the air for the crime of freely expressing my opinion under the First Amendment.
Bloomquist was brilliantly on target—state radio, fingernails across the blackboard, agenda-driven, and overly dependent upon “officially sanctioned sources.” BTB has started a campaign for an alternative journalist for her Friday-morning pundit roundup. It’s the least a taxpayer-supported station can do.
