Providing evidence that the nation’s capital is becoming a decent beer town is the return of the Mid Atlantic Beer and Food Festival. Now in its third year, the festival has grown bigger than ever, with 30 breweries in attendance. While the craft brews of the Mid-Atlantic region will be emphasized, brewers from as far afield as Maine, California, and Washington state will be represented. A number of Oktoberfest beers will make their debuts for this season, so come thirsty and remember to designate your drunks and drivers. Today from noon-7 p.m., Sept. 15 from noon-6 p.m. on H St. between 11th & New York Ave. NW. FREE. (202) 233-7337. (Eric Payne)
