Based in New Jersey, Run Wild Records specializes in hepcat tuneage from groups that label head Mike Lyman was first exposed to when he lived in Washington. Tonight’s Run Wild record release party celebrates the second effort from Fairfax’s Atomics, Sterling Park Accent, and the debut of Baltimore’s Barnburners, Tobacco Sunburst. Don’t expect psychobilly insanity or ducktailed revivalism: The Atomics’ disc, which was produced by former Polecat and Morrissey sideman Boz Boorer, bonds slapped upright-bass rhythms with late-’50s American and early-’60s British pop melodies, while the ’Burners go for a Jason and the Scorchers-meet-the Blasters twangin’ roots vibe. At 8:30 p.m. at Twist & Shout, 4800 Auburn Ave., Bethesda. $5. (301) 652-3383. (SK)
