In Michael Schaffer’s
article on the closing of the Le Droit building (“Museum Piece,” 9/27), he incorrectly states that because the building is a designated historical landmark, it
cannot be torn down. Wrong!
It just takes maneuvering through the proper channels and documenting every step, and presto, it’s gone.
