No doubt at least one of the five comics at tonight’s Comedy Concert for Children’s Hospital will make some crack that will seem inappropriate to the occasion. I mean, sick kids—that’s not a thing to joke about. Of course not, and I’m sure the performer will instantly regret it. If he doesn’t get a laugh. If he does, well, that’s comedy, pal. In fact, it’s entirely appropriate. If we didn’t laugh in the face of illness, disaster, and despair, we’d be grumpy old losers like Bob Dole. And promoter and host Arrow 94.7 DJ Paul Harris (pictured), insists that all the cash goes to the cause. The rib-ticklers include Brian Regan, Blake Clark, Bob Somerby, George Lopez, and Heywood Banks. At 7 p.m. at the Warner Theatre, 513 13th St. NW. $30 (benefits Children’s Hospital Foundation). (202) 783-4000. (Dave Nuttycombe)
